About the Position: This position is located at the Tripler Army Medical Center, Department of Nursing, Chief, Department of Nursing.
You will serve as the Training Specialist in the Safe Patient Handling Program.
This position is currently authorized 12.25% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA). COLA is subject to change without notice.
Salary includes locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
This position is a TERM position. It is temporary and may be extended up to a maximum of four years.

Responsible for instruction and implementation of the Safe Patient Handling Program at Tripler Army Medical Center.
Instructs courses in Safe Patient Handling; using knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of instruction and a fundamental knowledge of safe lifting techniques.
Writes and revises lesson plans and practical exercises.
Performs a variety of administrative and technical duties in support of customer programs involved with the Safe Patient Handling Program.
Works with and conducts meetings consisting of various members of a team (i.e., contracting, budget, logistics, facility management, and nursing).
Responsible for maintaining overall accountability of all customer packages and funding documents.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience at the GS-07 grade level, or equivalent, which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Teaching or instructing subject-matter or specialty area courses; modifying training guides and visual aids to meet students'' needs; developing lesson plans in compliance with time constraints and training requirements; advising non-instructional staff on training matters; analyzing training and development needs to adjust instructional methods; and using a variety of software/or application software.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
Knowledge of the Methods and Techniques of Instruction
Skill in Providing Administrative Support
Skill in Oral and Written Communications
Ability to Develop Training Materials for Areas of Professional Specialization

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
