Job Duties and Responsibilities Experience operating within a DoD or national level agency Intelligence environment preferred.Perform security test and evaluation
o Prepares/updates DIACAP and/or DCID 6/3 packages and supporting documents.
o Prepare/update paperwork and/or translates security requirements into network configurations/security settings
o Maintain knowledge of current and emerging Federal, Department of Defense (DoD), and Army requirements, policies, regulations, and trends.
o Maintain knowledge of information vulnerabilities and trends.
o Collaborate effectively with the customer, the Program
and other project team members,
o Estimate work efforts for Input into project plans,
o Track development timelines, provide best efforts to meet estimates, and notify Program Manager If estimates can''t be met.
o Notify Program Manager of any issues that may jeopardize producing quality output for the customer,
o Understand and apply sound engineering principles and methodology to all work.
o Apply commonly used concepts and/or best
and procedures within a particular engineering discipline.
o May Lead a team and/or less senior staff.
o Assess DODI 8500.2 Information Assurance (IA) controls against system baselines and mitigate any vulnerabilities.
o DODI 85002. IA
areas are: Continuity of Operations, Enclave Boundary Defense, Security Design and Configuration, Identification and Authentication, Physical and Environmental, Enclave and Computing Environment, Vulnerability and Incident
, and Personnel.
o Assess software baselines to include operating
against known software vulnerabilities and ensure corrective action.
o Build a plan of action and milestones with a mitigating strategy for vulnerabilities that can not be patched.
o Knowledge of DoD IT organizations and responsibilities.
o Ability to analyze an organizations internal and external IA processes and identify areas for improvement.
o Ability to author official IA correspondence, IA guides, and plan of action and milestone (POA&M).
o Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
o Ability to lead or work on informal teams.
o Knowledge of the Department of Defense Information Technology operating environment.
o Knowledge of network security through one of the following certifications: Security+ or CISSP. CISSP preferred.
o Ability to brief organizational leadership on technical issues in a non-technical format.
o Ability to assess the impact of
and/or network system security vulnerabilities to the information assurance environment and develop mitigating solutions.
o Ability to analyze an organizations business processes and develop material and non-material solution to implement applicable DoDI 8500.2 IA controls.
o Develop and document IA processes for the DCGS-A Fixed family of systems supporting organization(s)as required. Author correspondence, manuals and accreditation/certification packages as required for the DCGS-A Fixed systems.
o Ability to perform independent or collaborative research on solutions for IA requirements.
o Ability to assess current IA capabilities against future requirements and provide a strategy to close any capability gap.
o Research IA regulatory compliance requirements and tools for IA requirements. Provide recommendations and strategies for material and/or non-material solutions to improve the system and/or organizational IA posture.
Qualifications Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience. Ability to obtain a security clearance. Knowledge of DOD, DOE or other industrial security program and in-depth knowledge of the DOD, DOE or other government security
Additional Qualifications Minimum: Security+ (with CISSP to follow within 90 days)
Preferred: CISSP
o Experience in the DOD intelligence environment or equivalent government agencies, with field level experience preferred.
o Experience building formal accreditation/certification packages for DoD Intelligence support systems for SIPRnet, JWICS, and other operations networks.
o Experience performing IA functions in a DoD operational environment or other national level agency environment.
o 5+ years minimum experience, 8+ year preferred.
Journeyman - BA degree plus 5 years experience OR 13 years experience
Senior Lead - BA degree plus 10 years experience OR 20 years experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
